It seems the season 3 finale, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman was received very well. Lead writers Stephen Moffat and Mark Gatiss have done it again.
The episode, took us to both some dark and enlightening places. The 90-minute monster concludes with fans scratching their heads as to where the show may go next.
Season 4 has been confirmed by Moffat, and is rumoured to hit out screen by as soon at 2015.
